ART DEPARTMENT, in partnership with neighbors on SE 9th Avenue in Distillery Row, will be closing down the street from SE Belmont to SE Madison streets all day on Saturday, September 18th.

The event is designed to feature all the amazing creativity taking place in the Central Eastside Industrial area (and Portland in general). There will be a lot of activity including; street performers, musicians, artists, crafters, and more to help enrich the event.

Personal news: my commitment to ‘officially’ begin my career as an artist began when I semi-retired from my ‘day job’ at the end of 2009. I am working primarily in oils, acrylics. The goal is to invest my time and energy painting subjects that are compelling. Then comes the challenge and fun of trying to communicate my inspiration to the viewer.
